Composer Rob Schwimmer treads easily between jazz and classical worlds while creating a genre all his own. Praised by The New York Times for his "virtuosity, magic and humor," Schwimmer performs expertly on the piano, theremin and other less definable instruments. He's worked with such icons as Simon and Garfunkel, Stevie Wonder, Antonio Carlos Jobim and has performed from Carnegie Hall to the Tokyo Dome. Now, he comes to D.C.'s Atlas Performing Arts Center, where you may just catch him performing on a daxophone (an electric wooden experimental instrument), an accordion or even toys.
