DC's Folger Theatre brings together a trio of acclaimed authors to discuss their works, all of which deal with race and class in African-American communities around the U.S. Margo Jefferson explores the lives of Chicago's black elite in her memoir Negroland. Angela Flournoy's novel The Turner House looks at the downturn in Detroit's East Side through the lives of one multi-generational clan, and Red Now and Laters by Marcus Guillory recalls coming-of-age in the '80s in East Texas. This is a PEN/Faulkner Fiction Series event.
