Eli Conley's voice shifts deftly from country choirboy to soulful croon at the turn of a phrase. This Richmond-born songwriter has been featured in the Huffington Post and the Advocate, and opened for Grammy-winner Kimya Dawson. Now based in California, Eli joins us for an afternoon at The Camel on a tour celebrating the release of his sophomore album, Strong and Tender. The album features modern day folk songs for misfits, exploring themes of longing, loss, collective resistance, and the joys and struggles of living a creative life. Eli will be accompanied by frequent collaborator Joel Price on mandolin, violin, and harmonies.
“Oh what gorgeous, soulful music!” raves Laura Love, “It knocked me off my easy chair. Eli Conley’s writing and singing are exquisite.”
