If you can't get enough of the Great Detective, you'll have a blast at the Sherlock Holmes Film Festival. Bringing together a huge range of film adaptations of Arthur Conan Doyle's immortal hero, the festival also features Q&As and live music. Long thought lost, the 1916 silent Holmes film will screen in a newly restored version, complete with live musical accompaniment. A discussion with renowned silent-film composer-accompanist Donald Sosin will follow. The festival will also feature a rare Russian TV film from 1979, the 1939 Hounds of the Baskervilles starring Basil Rathbone, and legendary director Billy Wilder's clever take, which sends Holmes on an adventure to Loch Ness. Finally, Ian McKellen steps into the title role in Mr. Holmes (2015), about a retired Sherlock dealing with early dementia. The film's screenwriter, Jeffrey Hatcher, will be on hand for a post-screening Q&A. With this VIP Full Festival Pass you won't miss any of these great Holmes and Watson adventures at the Herberger Theater Center in Phoenix.
