The Orchestra Now presents the symphonic works of two Academy Award-winning film composers, led by conductor Leon Botstein at Carnegie Hall in New York City. First up is a suite of music from the film Psycho, written by Bernard Herrmann (Citizen Kane, Taxi Driver), followed by his Symphony No. 1, which TON musician Thomas J. Wible says is "high drama." Closing the concert is the Symphony in F-Sharp by Erich Wolfgang Korngold (The Adventures of Robin Hood). TON cellist Lauren Peacock describes it as "a great journey, full of tension but nonetheless extremely beautiful."
