The Parallel and Bova Loops are operated under a private-sector partner under contract with State Parks and are located within Allegany State Park. This 65,000-acre park is known for its primitive, forested valleys, un-glaciated landscape, fall leaves, and wildlife. Walkers, runners, and bicycle riders can take advantage of the five miles of paved trails. The Park has some of the finest groomed cross country skiing and mountain bike trails in the Northeast. Snowmobilers are attracted to Allegany State Park for its 90 miles of groomed snowmobile trail. Other activities include bird watching, fishing, hunting, picnicking, snowshoeing, canoeing, and horseback riding.
ASP Partners, a private-sector partner under contract with State Parks, operate the Parallel and Bova Loops. Each loop offers 15 brand new fully-equipped cottages. The cottages are open year-round.
