Old or young, everyone knows at least one Neil Diamond song. His songs are ripe with nostalgia and the feel of the times they were written, but have also picked up new associations through the years ("Sweet Caroline" is played at Red Sox games and has also been heard on TV'sGlee and The Big Bang Theory). No one (short of the superstar himself) does Neil Diamond's music better than Super Diamond, a band that has new fans and old ones singing along at every show. The San Francisco-based sextet rocks sequin shirts and funky hairstyles, churning out their own unique renditions of Diamond hits like "Sweet Caroline," "Cracklin Rosie," "Song Sung Blue," "America" and "Heartlight," as well as covering Kiss, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. Selling out houses from coast to coast, Super Diamond calls itself "Neil Diamond on steroids." Even Neil Diamond himself salutes their work and has performed on stage with them twice. Check them out at New York City's B.B. King Blues Club.
