Every single day in South Africa at least two to three captive or tame lions are being killed in canned hunts. And hundreds more are slaughtered annually for the lion bone trade.
The Blood Lions story is a compelling call to action to have these practices stopped.
While the film is still in progress, Jacob Calle will be previewing some of the work he's filmed while tracking down poachers to understand their reasonings behind killing rhinos and pangolins while also showing some of the adventures that has been had in the making of this film from being dog piled by hyenas, elusive pangolins eating termites, to following poachers as they show Jacob how they sneak into Kruger National Park.
