Christian Simeon a New Orleans, Louisiana resident vividly remembers, as a child, hanging out with his mother and listening to records on her old school home stereo where she would play artists that were heavy on the scene. She played that were rich in blues, soul, funk and jazz history. “Most of the best music ever made came out of New Orleans,” claims the singer, producer, and mulch-instrumentalist, who counts Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Little Richard, and Chuck Berry, along with New Orleans music pioneers like: The Meters, Fats Domino, Eddy Bo. Ernie K Doe, Snooks Eaglin and Dr. John among his influences.
The “retro or throwback” tag is added to almost any contemporary work that sounds like it was originally recorded between 1950 and 1974, and OUTLAW NATION, is among the new breed of artists to the genre, and he is aware of how trends come and go. "RISING FROM THE ASHES " is an original piece of music that brings the New Orleans sound new flavor." I have always been into doing music form the heart and I am giving you all I got with this album." says Simeon.
Simeon has produced and played instruments for much of his life, but never intended to be so moved by Reggae, Rock and Soul music the way he has. He isn’t formally trained, and never sang in the church choir but has been the lead singer in many rock, ska and reggae bands. But here he is and his band OUTLAW NATION JAM BAND sensations. “I think I have a bright future in the business, I am songwriter and guitarist and I love music." says Simeon "Sometimes diamonds and gifts from the higher being just fall into your lap and OUTLAW NATION is definitely a gift from above!"
