Purity Ball: The Musical takes a lighthearted look at the somewhat creepy world of evangelical purity balls - ceremonies in which young girls symbolically entrust their virginity to their fathers for safekeeping until marriage. The humorous play, written by Molly Miller with music by Brad Kemp, follows Isabel, a devout Christian teen who's tempted to have sex right before the Colorado Springs annual Purity Ball. As the big event approaches, Isabel finds she must explore her faith, her virginity and her self worth -- and learns that ultimately she and only she is in charge of her body.
