Though she may be best known for her '80s R&B-pop hits "Baby, Come to Me" and "How Do You Keep the Music Playing" with James Ingram, Patti Austin has segued into a career as one of the country's most sought-after jazz singers, winning a Grammy for her '08 disc Avant Gershwin and appearing at the Hollywood Bowl, Ravinia and elsewhere. Now she'll take the stage of Brooklyn's Walt Whitman Theatre for her acclaimed salute to the great Ella Fitzgerald. In honor of what would have been Lady Ella's 100th birthday, Austin will perform hits from her upcoming album,Ella: Now & Then, which includes classic favorites like "Mack the Knife," "April in Paris," and "Lullaby of Birdland."
